Nazarene World Week of Prayer : USA/Canada

USA/Canada Region

1.     Pray that God will send a revival of holy love to each of the 5,002 churches in the United States and Canada.

2.     Thank God for His blessing on the USA/Canada Region in this last year—56,000 people found Christ and more than 20,800 were baptized.

3.     Pray that each of our churches will experience vibrant renewal inside the Body and that renewal will lead to a new passion for reaching the lost and hurting of our communities.

4.     Pray that 150 new Nazarene churches will be started in 2012 in the USA/Canada Region.

5.     Pray that every Church of the Nazarene will be known as a body of loving people, so that people in need will know they can find help among us.

6.     Pray that Nazarenes in the United States and Canada will continue to have a spirit of generosity so missionaries can continue their work around the world.

7.     Pray that visitors will feel welcome in the churches of the USA/Canda Region and that a welcoming spirit will also bring assistance.

8.     Pray for God to call young men and women to ministry; and that with Christ’s help, they will effectively develop into passionate, holiness leaders for the future.

9.     Pray that pastors will continue to preach the message of holiness with clarity and power and that people listening will hunger and thirst for righteousness.

10.  Pray that churches will find new ways of bringing their children, youth, and adults together in worship and service and that new mentoring relationships will develop.

11.  Pray for the 11 Nazarene universities, colleges, and seminary in the USA/Canada Region, as they prepare strong Christian men and women to impact our world for Christ.

12.  Pray for the 79 district superintendents in the USA/Canada Region as they lead and resource their districts.

Nazarene World Week of Prayer : South America

 

South America Region

1.     Please pray for Brazil Nazarene College and Brazil Theological Seminary, their students, faculties, and staffs.

2.     Pray for the development of the Church of the Nazarene in Chile.

3.     Pray for the stability of the Church of the Nazarene in Peru.

4.     Ask the Lord to bless the Extreme Nazarene Projects in Peru, Paraguay, and Colombia.

5.     Pray for the Communications and Literature Ministries on the South America Region. The taping of Mujer Valiosa (“Valued Woman”) takes place in February. Pray also for the distribution of discipleship lessons for the new children’s program Industria X and finishing the modules for Disciples in Ministry.

6.     Ask God to give South America Region’s missionary kids physical and spiritual protection.

7.     Pray for the personnel who carry out their calling at the South America Regional Office.

8.     Please pray for a mighty revival of church planting across the South America Region.

9.     Pray for the cities where field strategy coordinators envision the opening of new work for the Church of the Nazarene. Those areas are:

Nazarene World Week of Prayer : Mesoamerica

Mesoamerica Region

1. Please pray for the Mesoamerica Nazarene Youth Congress to be held in Panama City, Panama, July 17-22, 2012. Pray for participants’ travel safety and for visas to be granted. Pray that the 800 youth participants to have a powerful impact on Panama. Pray for God’s Spirit to be poured out on each participant, and that participants would commit to evangelism, discipleship, and developing as leaders.

2. The Church of the Nazarene continues to expand rapidly across the Mesoamerica Region. Please pray as new believers are discipled in the basics of the faith and are incorporated into churches. Pray as they disciple established believers to spiritual maturity and as they train believers to make Christlike disciples.

3. Please pray that God would inspire, encourage, equip, challenge, motivate, and mobilize leaders through discipleship training events taking place across the region in the coming year.

4. Pray for God to help Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International leaders to lead in creative and effective ways that result in transformed lives, equipped and mobilized for a lifetime of service to Christ.

5. Pray for the young people of the English Field who are obeying God’s call to become missionaries.

6. Pray for a group of people who are planning to travel to the Ukraine this year that they will acquire needed finances.

7. Pray for the NMI Congresses in the Region this year:

• Mexico Central-South Field in Juchitan, Oaxaca, Mexico, in March 2012
• CA4 Field in Guatemala City in May 2012
• Central Field in Cuba in May 2012
• Mexico North in Tijuana in June 2012

Pray for the leaders and participants and that the Holy Spirit will fill their hearts and would help them commit to make Christlike disciples in the nations.

8. Ask God to supply translators for Literature Ministries on the Mesoamerica Region. Translators are needed for Creole, French, and English languages to translate all the Region’s resources. Pray also that funding will be available to print the resources.

9. Pray for security of our leaders, especially in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.

10. Pray that district superintendents, pastors, and ministry leaders (local, district, field, and regional) are intentionally involved in the Region’s plans and purposes.
